Artist Bio

Carly McCoy is an artist, writer, and photographer from Des Moines, IA. As a storyteller, her work explores themes of identity, memory, and grief. She graduated with honors with her bachelor's degree in studio arts and minor in communications from Grand View University. In 2023, she received first place for "Best Headline Writing" from the Iowa College Media Association. She was selected as an Emerging Iowa Artist for the Des Moines Arts Festival in 2024. She has shown her photography at the Polk County Heritage Gallery and Mainframe Studios in Des Moines.
